7th - 12th Grade: Making Mitzvot & YALA
The Congregation of Reform Judaism’s youth programming provides our youth with opportunities to engage in Jewish life at CRJ and in the broader Jewish community. From experiential learning programs, social events, social action experiences, to volunteer opportunities and trips, our wide variety of experiences come from the foundation that we each learn Torah in our own meaningful way.
When our teens participate in YALA, they learn about and connect to Jewish life by actively experiencing it! YALA, Hebrew for “let’s go!” combines experiential education and social experiences in a cohesive program that fosters Jewish identity development, community-building, leadership skills, and deep connection to Jewish life.
Teens will grow socially, spiritually and Judaically through a variety of diverse experiences including chugim (electives), off-site learning experiences, and guest speakers.
NEW for 7th Graders: Making Mitzvot Your time in this brand-new program will combine learning about Mitzvot, understanding how to use your time/energy to positively impact your community, reflection, and fun. Some days will be on campus working as a class to discuss and some will be out in the community performing various Mitzvot.
Making Mitzvot (7th graders) will meet on select Sundays from 9:30am - 12:30pm
YALA (8th - 12th graders) schedule to be determined

- Choose the program you want to register for Yala 20XX-20XX and click “CONTINUE”
- Enrollment into programs is by grade.
- Choose the appropriate course i.e Yala 7th Grade. For any children registering click “CONTINUE”
- Complete the appropriate registration form required and optional fields and click “CONTINUE”
- This will take you to the payment page, your registration is not complete until you hit “CONFIRM AND CONTINUE”
