Shabbat Services

Every Shabbat at CRJ is a unique and special experience. Through various modes of prayer, music and ritual there is something for everyone here. You will find people of all ages and all interests participating in services each week on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Each week of the month has a particular theme and feel. Added to this are services that feature special guest musicians, speakers, topics, or post-service programs.

FIRST FRIDAY (Discover Shabbat) AT 7PM
Join us on the first Friday of every month and participate in our Discover Shabbat Series. An interactive Shabbat program featuring discussion, activities, and Tefillah for ages 8 -100! Click here to view themes

Through song, dance, and story, we will talk about different ways to show and spread kindness to those around us.

SECOND FRIDAY (Shabbat of Healing and Celebration) AT 7PM
A reflective and meditative worship experience. Those in need of healing or who have experienced something joyful in their lives, will be invited to the sukkah of the heart for special blessings.

THIRD FRIDAY (Musical Shabbat) AT 7PM
This service reflects the diversity and depth of Jewish music. From Chassidic nigunim, to well-known melodies of Reform composers, to sounds of our collective Jewish past, we join our voices in new and favorite melodies.

The musical settings and liturgy are interwoven with Jewish mystical texts into a rich tapestry of prayer and song.

FIFTH FRIDAY (Olam Shabbat) 6PM 
We will travel to a Jewish community around the world through that place's history and music.


BUBBLES ON THE BIMA 9:30 am Sanctuary
Fun and musical experience for children under 6 and their siblings with Rabbi Engel and Ms. Zipporah that include storytelling, crafts, and of course food!

Bagels and Bible 10:00 am in the Goldman Social Hall
When there is not a Bar or Bat Mitzvah join us for an intimate and interactive Text Study led by Rabbi Engel or guest clergy and facilitators. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.
