Adult Education Classes
Our adult education classes are perfect for all learners. We offer classes during the week and on Sunday mornings. All classes are taught by Rabbi Jackson and a few will be taught by special guests.
Beginning in January we are offering two classes
Jewish 101: Holidays for Beginners & Jewish 102: General Adult Education
Jewish 101: Holidays for Beginners
The following Sundays: January 26, February 23, March 20, April 27 (four independent sessions)
Timing: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM (light nosh served)
Cost: $10/session; $30/all four sessions
Topics:
January 26: Shabbat (how-to for all ages & households)
February 23: Purim (PG-13 style)
March 30: Passover (how-to for all ages & households)
April 27: Mitzvot (incorporating Judaism & values into your everyday life)
Jewish 102: General Adult Education
The following Wednesdays: January 29, February 26, March 26, April 30, May 28 (five independent sessions)
Timing: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (dinner served)
Cost: $20/session; $80/all five sessions

January 29: The Amazing Ethical Race: A journey through Jewish ethical decision making
February 26: Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice: Afterlife in Judaism, it's not what you think
March 26: They tried to kill us, we won, let's eat: The history of Jewish food
April 30: What would it take for you to eat bugs: Kashrut texts through today
May 28: How many wives is too many: polyamory then and now
Lifelong Learning
Lifelong Learning is vital to CRJ’s mission. Our community of adult learners is open to all regardless of level of knowledge or other factors. There is always something interesting and inspirational in which to take part!

Torah Study Thursdays
Each Thursday you are invited to a round table discussion of the weekly Torah portion and its relevance to us today. Bring an open mind and willingness to learn and become a part of a thought-provoking discussion. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary.
