Get Involved

For all men of CRJ, Brotherhood offers the opportunity for fellowship through a variety of activities.  Whether social events or volunteering as a group for CRJ cookouts, Sukkah building, or annual Mens’ Night Out events with other local congregations, these activities provide fun and camaraderie and help support CRJ and the community.

Care Team
We serve congregants who need extra support, who may need help with a ride after they leave the hospital to get to doctor’s appointments, the pharmacy, grocery store, services or another CRJ event.  We also help congregants who may need meals delivered to their home after a hospital stay or giving birth.

Hospital Visitation
Hospitals can be lonely places, so CRJ volunteers provide a friendly face. The purpose of this committee is to visit congregants in local area hospitals and nursing homes or assisted living facilities, providing a connection to CRJ and a compassionate heart.

Justice Advocacy Group
Focuses on social justice issues grounded in our Jewish values. This past May,  inaugural members decided to focus initially on Gun Violence Prevention and on the Second Chances Florida initiative - Amendment 4 which will be on the ballot in November and, if passed, would restore the eligibility to vote of Floridians with certain felony convictions after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole, probation, and restitution.

A vibrant, spirited group of adults 60-ish and over, who look forward to monthly events to renewing friendships – or creating new ones – and who enjoy quality entertainment, education, or community awareness programming, and celebrating and embracing this prime time of our lives.

Social Action
We welcome you into our congregation which values “Ma’asim Tovim” (the doing of good deeds). This is done in group settings, on your own, or through any of the many volunteer activities with which you may already be affiliated. Our group of passionate volunteers lead  projects throughout the year such as creating baskets for seniors on Thanksgiving, collecting sneakers for children who attend Title 1 schools, Cook and Serve and the Coalition for the Homeless, serve over 400+ meals annually to seniors on Christmas Day who are unable to leave their  homes, and so many more incredible outreaches of love into our community.

Social Justice Advocacy
The Justice Advocacy Group (JAG) is CRJ's response to the Reform Movement's call to action to work as a community to build a world of wholeness, justice, and compassion, one that is more equitable and safer for all. This year, the JAG will focus its efforts on Gun Violence Prevention and Racial Justice (specifically support for the implementation of Amendment 4 voting restoration) as CRJ joins in the second phase of the Union of Reform Judaism's Religious Action Center's (RAC) Brit Olam initiative, approved by the Board of Directors.

From offering fellow congregants a warm and welcoming greeting on Friday nights to helping set up and break down events to working in the Temple office or hosting our CRJ table at an event, and everything in between, volunteers are the lifeblood of CRJ. If you have time to give and would like to help out in any way, we always have a place for you to lend a hand!

Women of Reform Judaism (Sisterhood)
We invite you to become a member of the Women of CRJ. We are committed to social action in our community at large and enjoy the spirit of connection with other like-minded women, and also have fun while participating! All members are diverse in age and experience and contribute their time as they are able. You can select from a variety of events and projects through which you can apply your efforts towards the Sisterhood’s collective mission. The Women of CRJ meet at 5:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at CRJ to discuss upcoming programs and issues important to the Women of CRJ.  Your input is so valuable, please join us!
