Thank you in advance for volunteering.  All volunteers need to arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of services (unless stated otherwise).  One advantage to volunteering is the ability to reserve seats for you and your immediate family. 

BELOW ARE JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR EACH POSITION:

Side Entrance Greeter: Open the side office door for members who have trouble walking to the main entrance. Please remain by the door until just before services begin. 

Book Checkout/Check-in: We will have one table available outside of the main entrance for anyone who needs to borrow a book.  A second table will be used to return licenses and take back books at the conclusion of services.  This volunteer will need to sit at this table starting from the sermon through the end of services.

Sanctuary Ushers: Ushers are requested to greet worshippers as they enter the sanctuary, assist in seating as many people as possible, and answer any questions worshippers may have. No one is to enter or leave the sanctuary during the sermon or when the ark is open. Ushers should politely request worshippers wishing leave to wait or to exit through the rear doors.

Social Hall Ushers: Ushers are requested to greet worshippers as they enter the social hall while answering any questions they have. No one is to leave during the sermon or when the ark is open. Ushers should politely request people to wait to leave (use common sense here).
