GORFTY (Greater Orlando Federation of Temple Youth) GORFTY is CRJ’s Senior Youth Group. They compose a board for the year and organize and implement activities throughout the school year. GORFTY is big on social action and connecting Jewish teens together in the community. GORFTY events take place throughout the whole school year, implementing Jewish values, education and Fun! GORFTY is affiliated with the National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). As NFTY-Southern Tropical members, GORFTYites are able to attend NFTY conventions and activities around the area. |
| OAFTY (Orlando
Area Federation of Temple Youth) OAFTY is CRJ’s youth group for 7th and 8th graders. It is an opportunity for middle school-aged teens to mingle with other kids their own age through various events and programming. Since many children at this age are newly post-B’nai Mitzvah students, OAFTY is a great way for kids to be able to reunite with their former classmates in a fun, social and educational setting. Members of OAFTY also have the opportunity to get a taste of NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) by experiencing events such as Hatikvah Kallah. |

| Club Chai Club Chai is the newest and up-and-coming youth group for 5 and 6 graders at CRJ. Similar to OAFTY and GORFTY, Club Chai serves as the starting block for temple youth, and a chance for young children to find a home away from home. It is an opportunity for children to socialize with their Hebrew school classmates outside a formal educational setting. |
