In April, 2010, The Reich Family Playground was dedicated.  Donated by Steve and Shyla Reich and John and Shayna Reich, this playground will serve many children over the years!

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Tot Shabbat (usually held on the 1st Friday of the month during the school year) at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary.  This is a fun filled and interactive service for our youngest congregants, pre-school age, during the school year.  Includes stories, the basic prayers and of course our world famous “Tot Shabbat” song. Everyone will have the opportunity to be involved through song, dance and special instruments. .

Torah Tots - Parents & kids can socialize & interact together in an early childhood environment where they will learn & grow “jewishly” through age-appropriate art projects, manipulative toys, circle-time, music, Kabbalat Shabbat with additional activities centered around the Jewish calendar.  This class is a wonderful bridge into your child’s early Judaic education & is a great stepping stone to the pre-school experience in a warm, fun & creative environment.  Torah Tots is a fee-based 8 week program.

Pre-School Program - CRJ has a planning committee in place to start a pre-school in January, 2011.  We will offer a three year old part-time program on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am - 2 pm.  Its mission is to provide an integrated general and Judaic program for our children that will focus on their spiritual as well as physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.  A low teacher-child ratio along with a warm, nurturing family friendly classroom will enable us to meet the individual needs of each child. In addition to a variety of age appropriate classroom activities, children will have a chance to interact with our Rabbi and Cantor each week when they celebrate Shabbat in our sanctuary.  Our pre-school will provide a foundation for lifelong Jewish learning and foster a strong Jewish identity.
